Case Study 3 - Information Security for Small Businesses

After experiencing rapid growth over the previous year, an accountancy firm became concerned that its longstanding clients were not renewing their contracts.

C2i was asked to assess whether there was a breach in information security: C2i carried out a thorough risk assessment then set about analysing the company's procedures, simultaneously conducting an electronic and physical inspection of their premises.

It became apparent that its main competitor was taking on its former clients on a regular basis. An eavesdropping device was found in one of the partner's offices and following a short investigation, the perpetrator was discovered to be the main competitor.
